A MAN has been fined after letting his dog foul near a children’s play area in Stafford.

The 32-year-old was seen letting his two Staffordshire Bull Terrier dogs run across the area in Batholdi Way, Stafford yesterday morning (August 14).

One of the dogs fouled on grass, near to the fenced off play area, and the man did not clear it up, telling the borough council enforcement officer that he wasn’t carrying any bags.

He was handed a £75 fixed penalty notice, becoming the second person to have been fined for not clearing up after dogs in the borough within the last couple of weeks. The other incident involved a woman in the Meir Heath area.
