A MAN was hospitalised with neck and back injuries after a two-car smash on the A449 at Acton Gate yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the collision near the junction 13 slip road to the M6 at 4pm involving a grey Toyota Avensis and a blue Ford van.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said the road was blocked with the collision was cleared and the man, whose injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, was taken to Stafford Hospital for further treatment.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics were called to the incident just after 4pm following police reports of a two-vehicle collision.
He confirmed two ambulance crews attended the crash, with one driving the injured man to Stafford Hospital.
At least two other people are believed to have been treated at the scene.
Firefighters who also attended the accident made vehicles safe and helped clear the incident before leaving the scene at 4.54pm.
