RUGELEY residents and friends of missing man Stephen Greatrix turned out on in force to help search Cannock Chase on Sunday, April 27.
The group carried out an extensive search of Cannock Chase but sadly did not find the missing man or any clues on his whereabouts.
"This effort clearly shows what good community spirit the people of Rugeley have," a Staffordshire police spokeswoman said.
"However, we must remind anyone considering searches that they should consider both their own safety and the safety of those involved. We would always ask that the investigating officers are notified so that we can offer any advice to the organiser.
"Our inquiries are continuing and we encourage anyone who has any information on Stephen’s whereabouts to contact us. Thank you."
Mr Greatrix, aged 45, of Chaseside Drive, Rugeley, was last seen a week ago, on Monday April 21. His car was later found in a Rugeley car park.
