Missing Rugeley man Stephen Greatrix - police appeal for help

STAFFORDSHIRE police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a man missing from the Rugeley area.

Stephen Greatrix, aged 45, was reported missing from his home in Chase Side Drive at around 3.30pm on Tuesday April 22 and was last seen at around 2pm on Monday April 21.

He is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build, and has short mousey hair. He has a tanned complexion and green eyes. It is believed he maybe wearing a long black sleeved top and a grey Craghoppers top.

Officers have been carrying out inquiries and have located Stephen’s car which is parked in the town centre near the park.

Extensive searches are taking place in the surrounding area and on Cannock Chase.

Chief Inspector Steve Morrey, Cannock Chase Local Policing Team Commander, said: “We are continuing to make inquiries to locate Stephen and we’re growing increasingly concerned for his welfare as time passes.

“We believe he is still in the area and would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen him to contact us immediately. Due to his cars location we are appealing to walkers and bikers using the Chase to keep an eye out for him.”

Anyone with information on Stephen’s whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately on 101, quoting Staffordshire Police incident number 446 of April 22.
