CONCERN is growing for the welfare of a Stone man who has been missing from home since Thursday night.
Kieran McColl - known as 'Lally' to his friends -suffers from epilepsy and needs regular medication, and there are fears he could be at risk of having a fit.
Staffordshire police officers including specialist search police teams, supported by the police helicopter, Staffordshire Search and Rescue Team and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue are currently searching areas in Stone and around the Trent Mersey Canal in a bid to find Lally.
The 21-year-old was last seen at around 10pm on Thursday night when he left friends near Stone town centre.
He is described as about 5ft 8in tall, with a pale completion, of stocky, muscular build, with blond shaven hair.
He was wearing dark grey pinstripe trousers, a dark blue jumper and a white striped shirt with a white collar, grey tie, a gold chain necklace and zipped black and white hooded coat.
"Police are becoming very concerned," a spokeswoman said.
Since he was reported missing, officers have been conducting a detailed investigation to locate Lally, including using the police helicopter to search the wider area around Stone. But there have been no confirmed sightings since Thursday night.
Police have been carrying out "extensive and detailed searches" around the rivers and canal in the area, including searches of boats and buildings.
They have also been reviewing CCTV footage taken in the town that evening and have been speaking to members of the public who were in Stone on Thursday night in order to investigate any further sightings.
Teams are now searching a wider area from the location he was last seen but officers are urging anyone with any information to get in touch by calling police on 101.
