THE National Trust is appealing for volunteers to help install fencing at Downs Banks, Barlaston.
The next work party is on Sunday April 6 at 10am.
The fencing will extend the grazing area to revert more of the site to acidic grassland, a nationally important habitat. "It's a big job and our team always welcomes new faces," said Paul Roberts, assistant ranger.
Volunteers should meet at the main car park, off Washdale Lane, Downs Banks.
They should wear suitable clothes including sturdy footwear, and bring lunch.
