BRITAIN’S Got Talent saxophonist Julian Smith will stop off at St Mary’s Church in Stafford on Saturday, June 16, performing live as part of a UK tour.
The musician, who only lost narrowly to Susan Boyle and dance group Diversity in the 2009 finals of the ITV talent show, said church acoustics particularly suit his classical crossover style.
Organised by the Friends of St Mary’s, proceeds from the evening will go towards the upkeep of the historic Grad 1 listed church.
