AT STAFFORD Hospital this morning at 9.30am, two hours before the publication of the report, staff, patients and volunteers were going about their day as normal.
But round the corner at the Post Graduate Centre media outlets had already set up camp to await the unfolding news.
Hospital volunteer Raymond Woolley, on hand to greet patients and visitors in the main reception, told the Newsletter “It’s just business as usual. We are looking after the patients as best as we can.”
Relatives and patients waiting in reception praised the care they have received at Stafford Hospital.
One patient waiting for his appointment said his treatment had been “brilliant.”
“I have had a major operation here but it has been no trouble whatsoever,” he added.
