A JCB worker from Stafford has raised more than £5,000 for needy children after completing a one million metre rowing challenge.
JCB Group Solicitor Carl Crick completed the gruelling task in less than 70 hours with colleague JCB Director & Group Legal Counsel Adrian Ross.
After completing the last 10km in front of colleagues in the company gym the pair then handed proceeds to JCB's £1 million NSPCC appeal.
Carl, 34, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to all our sponsors. We really appreciate the generosity of everyone who has supported us. There have been many evenings when our motivation has been challenged but this target kept us going.”
Money raised by JCB’s appeal will go towards the funding of a specialist centre dedicated to saving babies and young children in Staffordshire who are at risk of series abuse and harm.
