Charity shop stock plea to help needy animals

Written byKerry Ashdown

A STAFFORD charity shop which pulls in pounds to help poorly pets is asking residents for a healthy dose of stock.

PDSA in Greengate Street is in desperate need of goods to help raise funds. The charity helps provide veterinary care for the pets of residents in need of assistance, such as those receiving housing benefit.

More than 160 pets were treated by Pet Aid veterinary practices locally in 2011.

Residents can donate good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, unwanted Christmas gifts and even small items of furniture.

A van is available to collect items from those unable to bring them to the shop. For more information contact 01785 214875.
