TEENAGERS and community-minded folk in Stone are banding together to clean up the mess made by a vandal in the town over the last few weeks.
A group led by Christ Church youth worker Kieran McKnight will take to the streets on Wednesday morning to remove the work of a graffiti artist who has daubed his 'tag' on shop fronts, bridges and benches around the town recently.
"It's just an eyesore," said Mr McKnight. "Most of the cleanup team we have so far are from the church, but a few of them are university students who have finished for the summer and are back and want to help."
Mr McKnight urged anyone who could spare the time to meet the team on the bridge by Langtrys pub near Radford Street at 10am on Wednesday morning and to bring a bucket and a scrubbing brush.
