AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD Rugeley boy who was taken to hospital in a critical condition after coming off his bike earlier this week is recovering.
The boy, who is believed to be named Bradley Smith, was hospitalised with a head injury on Monday evening after the accident on Burnthill Lane, his condition said to be “very serious”.
A spokesman for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where the boy was airlifted after the incident, today said confirmed that he was recovering.
While the cause of the accident was reported by West Midlands Ambulance Service as not being entirely clear, Staffordshire Police confirmed that they had no reason to believe a car had been involved.
