STAFFORD folk didn’t know whether to boogie woogie or bolero around a curious road sign that appeared in the town this week.
The misspelt sign placed by National Grid around gas replacement work on Fancy Walk, between Grey Friars and Marsh Street seemed to suggest access would only be available to resiDANCE.
A National Grid spokesman said: “Oops. Obviously, we try to ensure all our notices are clear and spelt correctly,” she said. “Unfortunately, on this occasion this sign has slipped through the checks.
“I hope the mistake brings a smile to the residents' faces as they creatively think about what this sign could mean - A street party? Strictly Come Dancing lessons?”
