THERE were some tasty treats on offer in Derrington as the village celebrated the best of local and homegrown produce at its festival.

Visitors rushed to snap up Staffordshire produce at the fourth annual event on Saturday in the village hall.
It included a grow and show competition, meet and greet with farms, displays and the chance to try willow weaving, as well as an auction of local produce.
The festival was set up as part of the Derrington Way Ahead project to become the borough’s first eco village.
The project, supported by Stafford Borough Council, has included numerous projects, including solar panels fitted to the village hall, the planting of a school orchard and nest boxes set up.
