A MAN threw a branch at a pensioner couple while they walked their dogs in Salt.
The branch hit the 69-year-old woman, who received hospital treatment for a head injury, Staffordshire Police have said.
The couple were also verbally abused by the man, and another man who was travelling in the same vehicle.
A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “At approximately 3pm on August 20 an elderly couple were walking their three
“As a vehicle approached, they moved to the edge of the road to let it pass.
“The vehicle stopped and the driver and passenger got out of the vehicle and were verbally abusive to the couple.
“One of the men picked up a two foot branch and threw it at the couple.”
The two men then got back into the vehicle, described as a red Suzuki-type, and drove off.
