AN ELDERLY Dalmatian has been fostered by a new family after Newsletter readers helped launch an appeal to find him a home.

Ennis the Dalmatian was left homeless just before Christmas after his owner decided he could no longer look after him.
The RSPCA contacted the Newsletter to help with an appeal to re-house him and readers took the challenge to heart retweeting the story on Twitter and sharing it on Facebook tenaciously over the following weeks.

A spokesman for the RSPCA announced this week Ennis had been fostered by a couple looking for an older dog after spending the holidays at home with one of the workers.
“They have now officially adopted Ennis and he is happily being spoilt there and sharing his home with six indoor cats,” she said.
