AN ELDERLY woman was rescued by firefighters after a chip-pan fire broke out in the kitchen of her Hopton home.
Fire crews from Stafford and Rising Brook were called to the house just after 8pm yesterday.
When they arrived at the incident firefighters found the blaze already extinguished but the woman had to be treated for smoke inhalation.
