AN ELDERLY woman was found safe and well several hours after sparking a police search when she disappeared from her home in Stafford.
72-year-old Dorothy Hallett went missing from her house on Peach Avenue at about 7pm on Thursday May 31.
A police spokesman today (June1) said: “Dorothy was found in the early hours of the morning and was safe and well.”
Staffordshire Police, who were called shortly afterward Mrs Hallet first disappeared put leaflets out to nearby shops and garages and put messages up across social networking sites urging anyone who had seen Dorothy to get in touch.
A tweet from Staffordshire Police’s account posted at 1.50am the following morning said: “We're increasingly concerned about vulnerable 72-year-old missing lady, Dorothy Hallett.”
