MOTORISTS have been urged to take care when transporting gas cylinders after a leak in a Stafford supermarket car park.
Fire crews from Stafford and Stone were called to Asda car park just before 11pm on Saturday following concerns about a leaking gas cylinder in a small commercial vehicle.
Station manager Toby Wilson said: “The area around the vehicle was cordoned off and crews used breathing apparatus and a gas monitor to assess the risk before ventilating the vehicle and isolating the gas supply.
“No people were injured or affected during the incident but the Fire Service would like to remind people to take great care with gas cylinders, especially when transporting them.”
