A GENTLE elderly Dalmatian whose owner can no longer care for him is looking for a loving home to rest his paws this festive season.
Workers at RSPCA Stafford Wolverhampton and District Branch are hoping to find a new family or foster home for 14-year-old Ennis in time for Christmas Day.
RSPCA spokesman Kate Lee said: “We really want to find Ennis a new home or foster home as soon as possible as we do not want him to have to go into kennels at his age.”
She said because Ennis was an older dog, he really needed a quiet, calm household, like the one he was used to where he could snooze on his bed, wake up for meals, be taken for short walks and perhaps be allowed to potter in the garden.
Ennis has lived with another dog before but is described as quite timid around dogs so would be better suited to a pet free home, or one with an older, calmer dog. He has never lived with cats.
If you think you could offer Ennis a new home or a temporary foster home for Christmas please contact Kate on 07715 540618
