Grandfather clock in pub raiders' haul

BURGLARS forced their way into a pub near Rugeley and stole thousands of pounds of items, including a grandfather clock, TVs and meat.

The thieves broke into an outbuilding before getting into the main building at the Royal Oak in Uttoxeter Road, Hill Ridware, on Sunday.

 

They stole a Panasonic 47ins plasma TV, an 19ins LCD TV, cash, brass horse decorations, frozen venison meat, knives, catering tubs, Toby jugs, a grandfather clock and bottles of wine, whisky, champagne and spirits.

The burglary was discovered on Monday morning and is thought to have happened the previous night.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has been offered stolen goods should call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 134 of January 14 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
