RESIDENTS concerned about plans for a high speed rail line that will cut a swathe through the Stafforshire countryside are being urged to drop in to a meeting on Thursday.

There will be a meeting on Thursday (February 21) for residents in the Hill Ridware and Mavesyn Ridware areas affected by the HS2 proposals with a view to forming an action group.
The meeting at Mavesyn Ridware Village Hall, located on the B5014 Uttoxeter Road in Hill Ridware, starts at 7.30pm and will include a presentation by Rolfe Pearce from the Staffordshire Against HS2 campaign.
