THE PICK of local produce was on display at Barlaston’s annual show.

The village hall hosted the show on Saturday and the weather proved so good that some stalls were moved outside.
There were prizes on offer for the top fruit, vegetables and flowers. Other classes covered floral art, baked goods and crafts.
Despite challenging conditions for growers entries remained at a similar level to last year.
Barlaston Parish Council chairman Gareth Jones said: “It was a successful day. The quality of entries was extremely good.
“The barn dance in the hall afterwards was well supported too.”
