A HORSE that became tangled in barbed wire and stuck in a ditch in Hazel Slade, near Rugeley, was rescued by firefighters.
Crews from Cannock were called to the incident on Rugeley Road at 3pm on Saturday and found the animal trapped and distressed.
It took firefighters just over two hours to cut the horse free.
