Illegal dumping blighting borough

COUNCIL chiefs are urging residents to help them track down vandals blighting Stafford Borough by illegally dumping rubbish.

Three new fly-tipping incidents have been listed on the council’s Grime Watch website and people are encouraged to share any details they might have about the culprits.

BURY BANK ... Household waste.

On January 22 more than 30 part-worn car and van tyres, were dumped in a laybe and field at Billington Bank off the Newport Road from the back of a flat back truck or van.

On January 14 several black sacks of household waste were dumped in a bridleway at the top of Bury Bank near Stone. The sacks contained books, CDs and general bric-a-brac and were all stamped with the Dudley Metropolitan Council logo.

Finally a large pile of household waste including a portable TV, an electric cooker, a vacuum cleaner and several carpets were dumped at Hookgate on Rudge Lane off the Eccleshall Road on December 18.
