Joe, 18, called to the bar

THE country’s youngest licensee is to take the helm at the oldest pub in Staffordshire.

Joe Holland won a licence to run the award-winning Holly Bush Inn at Salt, near Stafford - said to be the country’s second oldest pub - six days after his 18th birthday and will become assistant manager to dad Geoff.
Geoff said: "We’re absolutely delighted Stafford magistrates thought he was fit and capable to become a licensee and as far we can tell from our research it makes him the youngest licensee ever."
