Dr jkh Rose
RECENTLY I was unfortunate enough to fall over in Salter Street.
There a young lady and a young gentleman stopped, summoned an ambulance, offered cloths and a cushion to put under my knees and stayed until the ambulance arrived.
I cannot thank these good people enough and as the fall shook me up somewhat I am sure I made a very bad job of expressing the great gratitude I feel for their care.
I was taken to the A&E department at the hospital where I was treated with efficiency, courtesy and care.
I am now at home with stitches in my eyebrow, two fingers out of action and a strong instruction to avoid effort.
However, thanks to the people and the excellent ambulance service I feel confident of reaching 91 years of age next month. Let us join in offering thanks and congratulations where it has been richly earned.
