AFTER weeks of dodging accidents at the junction of South Walls travelling to Tipping street I need the Newsletter's help. The junction between the RBS and the Nationwide is very dangerous.
It has no entry from Bridge / Greengate Street except for taxis and buses. But cars lots of cars still come up this no entry at speed and because there are no road markings, halt signs etc cars don't stop even though people travelling around the new building have right of way. Police did stand there for some days at the change of access but no more and it is becoming very dangerous. What can be done?.
This is an urgent matter before someone gets hurt. I saw three near misses in ten minutes and 42 cars using the road illegally in 1 hour. Taxis also travel at speed and do not stop and give way. Bus drivers only give way if you race them to the bend. Its becoming more like a chicane and we have to either enforce or change back this junction. I welcome a share of experiences with other drivers and hope for a reply from the police or road agency.
