Name and Address supplied IT IS not often we are able to heap congratulations on to Staffordshire County Council Highways Department, but for once, we can do so! Well done, Highways, you must take pride in achieving a first, by listening to the motorists’ request for you to remove the traffic flow blocking, carbon generating, time costly frustrating, heart failure generating, unnecessary build-out on the Doxey Road, adjacent to the old Universal Grinding Wheel Company.
Let us now have a New Year’s Resolution from you, to do the same at the other end of the Doxey Road next to the old Three Tuns Public House.
This will then return the road back for the normal free-flow of traffic. The existing, more than adequate, Speed Control Bumps could remain to ensure road safety is maintained.
You could earn further accolades by improving traffic flow on other blocked roads such as Corporation Street etc, by removing these unnecessary build-outs.
With just one New Year’s Resolution for both Doxey Road and Corporation Street, you might say a seasonal “Two for the Price of One”.
