Ella Beeson, five, won the Berkswich Primary School competition to take photos of themselves reading a book in an extreme location.

Waterstone book shop in Greengate Street judged the contest and were so impressed with the entries they introduced a second prize, which was awarded to Isabelle Ashcroft, six, who was snapped reading while suspended in a gymnastics rig at her gym class.

Both youngsters won Waterstone certificates and a book.
