STONE MP Bill Cash said today’s announcement of the proposed route for the second phase of HS2 was a ‘grave concern’ and vowed to strongly opposed the plans.

Mr Cash made his concerns clear following details of the next phase of the high-speed rail network which were unveiled by the Government this morning and, if approved, will see the line running northwards of Birmingham.
“It is a cause for grave concern that the proposed route runs through my constituency,” said Mr Cash. “There has been no previous public consultation on this proposed new development.”
“I will be taking every possible action to oppose this in the light of public consultation.”
Mr Cash said he planned to engage with his constituents over the proposals and announced he would be holding a public meeting on Saturday at Swynnerton Park Cricket Club at 1pm.
