A PENKRIDGE businessman has been left shocked after his generator was stolen hours just after he bought it.
Richard Foetu Tomkinson, pictured, travelled to Chester on Tuesday to pick up the £1,200 Clarke generator to power his office at Project Paintball.
It was left bolted and chained in a cage at the premises and was there when the last person left at 9pm on Monday.
When Mr Foetu Tomkinson arrived at 9am on Tuesday it was gone.
It is not the first time the business has been targeted by thieves. In April 2010 thieves were caught on CCTV stealing a generator from his van in less than half a minute.
The following month banners were stolen from the company and two months after that Mr Foetu Tomkinson’s van was broken into again and the sat nav stolen.
The generator is used to power the office lights and provide tea and coffee making facilities. A second, smaller generator was also stolen.
“The last three years I have been struggling financially because of the recession. It’s hit the paintball very hard,” said Mr Foetu Tomkinson.
