Penkridge mum's could scoop hamper in raffle

Written bySarah Marshall

PENKRIDGE people could be in with a chance of scooping a Mother’s Day hamper and help raise cash for charity.

Members from the village’s Round Table have donated the hamper to pull in pounds for the Penkridge BUNS (Breastfeeding, understanding and nurturing support) group.

The hamper, which includes wine, chocolates and biscuits, is on show at the Horse and Jockey in Market Street and residents can pay £1 for a strip of raffle tickets. The winning ticket will be drawn on Friday, March 8.

Penkridge BUNS is a weekly drop-in service held on Thursdays, from 9.30am to 11.30am at Penkridge Children’s Centre in Saxon Road.
