Steve Bullock, 58, of Brewood, won the adult section with an icy scene of Brewood canal.

He said: "I'm stunned but pleased to have won the photography competition.

"The canal scene seemed to epitomise the seasonal feel of a December morning.

"I have never been a professional photographer but photography has been a lifelong interest."

Holly Postles, a 10-year-old pupil at Brewood Middle school, won the junior category with her image of Bridge View.

The entrants' artistic ability was judged by Tettenhall Wood Photography Club and the winners announced at a presentation evening by Brewood and Coven Parish Council.

The winning photographs will be used in future parish publications and due to the success of the contest the council is planning another competition later this year.
