POLICE are appealing for help in tracing the owner of a dog that attacked chickens in Stone.
Three reports of a dog attacking birds at a Longton Road home between December 26 and January 19 have been passed to police.
A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “A large black dog wearing a distinctive bright blue collar was seen on all three occasions and is believed to have come from a nearby field used by dog walkers.
“Officers have spoken to the poultry owner. They requested the incidents be logged and were given advice.
“Anyone who has any information, or believe they know who this dog belongs to, is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 151 of January 19, so that details can be passed to the poultry owner.”
