A KEEN sportswoman, traveller and retired GP from Church Eaton has been appointed as the newest non-executive director of Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation trust.
Dr Lynne Hulme, worked as a GP in Cannock for 35 years and is married with two grown-up children, started at the trust which runs both Stafford and Cannock Hospitals this week.
Dr Hulme said: “As a GP in Cannock for many years, and latterly being involved in the commissioning process, I have always had the needs of local patients as my focus and I see this role as one of the most challenging within the NHS at the moment.
“I hope to contribute to achieving the best outcome possible for the future of both hospitals, whatever that may be.”
Professor John Caldwell, chairman of the trust said he was delighted to welcome such a high-calibre non-executive director.
He said: “I am sure that her experience will be of great benefit to the Trust and to the wider community.”
