The Boundary Commission for England this week launched an eight-week consultation this week on revised proposals for new Parliamentary constituency boundaries in England.

The controversial plans now see Milwich and Chartley wards moving from the Stone constituency to Stafford, Haywood and Hixon going from Stafford to Lichfield and Wheaton Aston, Bishopswood and Lapley moving to the South Staffordshire constituency.

The revisions, which come out of proposals initially published in September 2011, represent the results of a consultation process which included responses from 50,000 people across the UK.

Members of the public now have until December 10 to comment on the revised plans at www.consultation.boundarycommissionforengland.independent.gov.uk.
