The yobs attacked 21 vehicles at the side and back of Randles Peugeot, Newport Road, in the early hours of Saturday, November 3.

They smashed windows and wrecked windscreen wipers on customer vehicles, Peugeot stock and sold vehicles awaiting collection.

But general manager Ben Perkin, who is offering a reward for information about the incident that leads to prosecution, says there have been numerous problems at the site with people damaging cars and defecating on the floor.

“Being a central town location we are prone to damage of sorts and have experienced this on and off for a long time,” he said.

“It’s generally litter and key marks on cars on our front forecourt often caused by drunken revellers.

Many have been caught by our surveillance cameras and prosecuted. On one occasion faeces were found on our walkways, showing the type of individuals involved.

“The attack on our property would have taken brute force and would have continued for quite some time. I am convinced that this would have been witnessed and ask anyone who has information to please come forward to police where any information received will be treated confidentially.

“We want our town to be a safe, a nice place to live and be proud to live here, but this is disheartening for both the investors in the business and the staff alike.

"Not to mention the distress it has caused our customers.” Anyone with information should contact Stafford Police on 101 quoting either the crime reference number FZ/4/65979/12 or incident number 298 of 04/11/12.
