Richard Evans told the Newsletter he had been forced to give way to a number of the woolly intruders as he pulled his car out of Kings Avenue.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “We were called to report of loose sheep on the road in Northesk Street, Stone, just after 8.25am.
“Officers attended and found the sheep had been rounded up and secured at St Dominic’s School.”
Mr Evans said: “The only happy ending for me would involve mint sauce.”
