Stafford FM Celebrates its First Birthday in Style

Stafford FM celebrates its first birthday today, rounding off a year of fresh local radio for the County Town.

The station, based in state-of-the-art studios on the Marston Road, is launching a range of brand new shows to celebrate its first milestone.

Programme Controller Stuart Haycock believes this is just the start:

“We’re extremely grateful for the support from businesses and people in Stafford. The station continues to grow and go from strength to strength and we’re looking forward to the future.”

“We hope there is a show for everyone on Stafford FM, from rock and dance to folk and a mix of classic chart hits. We’re really excited about Stafford FM Extra launching online to showcase our specialist shows.”

The team were also treated to a fantastic birthday cake courtesy of Tina Soden, from ‘Love at First Bite’ in Stafford Town Centre.

Tina surprised the presenters at Stafford FM with the cake as a ‘big thank you’ to the team for keeping her entertained and informed over the last year.

Stuart added:  ‘We are really flattered by this and wish to thank all of our loyal listeners for their continued support.”

“We’re also extremely thankful for backing from Stafford’s MP Jeremy Lefroy, who agrees that it’s time that the town had a full time FM station.”
