STAFFORD Hospital says it will work with regulators as they prepare for the trust to be put into administration.
Health watchdog Monitor announced today they are consulting on the possibility of dissolving the trust and putting a special administrator in charge.
Professor John Caldwell, chairman of Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We have accepted for some time that the trust working alone cannot produce a long-lasting solution to the issues we face to ensure financial and clinical sustainability.
“We will continue to work with our regulators and commissioners to deliver the services they require to our local community.”
