Teams of four from various Stafford organisations competed on Tuesday to put their pancake flipping skills to the test in the Stafford Borough Council’s annual Pancake Race.
Our very own team - Press Gang were joined by a host of retailers, organisations, bars and restaurants from around the town- each with a team of four. Participants were required to flip pancakes a total of four times during whilst running across the market square and back (some teams bending the rules more than others!) to a crowd of onlookers.
Sadly our team came last – but they did sport impressive outfits made from old Newsletters by reporter Kerry Ashdown. Losing teams competed for the Wooden Spoon award – won by community radio station XL FM, whilst The Swan took the top prize, beating last year’s champions Sainsbury’s.
