A STAFFORD-based charity is urging residents planning a spring clean to help furnish its shops with new stock.
There has been such high demand for furniture at Katharine House Hospice’s charity shops that more stock is urgently needed.
Kate Sharp, the hospice retail director, said “The run-up to Christmas has been extremely busy with furniture proving to be particularly popular.
"This means that January left us with a shortage of stock as soon as we have items in our shops they sell straight away.”
