DEMENTIA patients in Stafford and their families will be boosted by a new £50 million fund.

Care homes and hospitals offering dementia risk for anyone in their care over 75 and who sign an agreement committing them to providing first-rate care, will be able to apply for a share of the cash.
Stafford MP Jeremy Lefroy welcomed the announcement by the Health Secretary and said he would contact providers in his constituency to discuss how the money could be used.
"Caring properly for those with dementia, whether they are in hospital or at home, is so important,” he said. “But so is providing support for carers and I am glad that this has been recognised in the new funding.”
