Stafford doctor to face tribunal

Written byRobin Scott

A STAFFORD Hospital doctor will face a tribunal hearing next month over concerns with his clinical care and relationships with patients, and allegedly ‘unacceptable’ team work.

Mr Roderic Hutchinson will stand before a Fitness to Practise panel in Manchester between 18 and 28 March to consider a case of ‘impairment by reason of deficient professional performance’.

The panel will inquire into an allegation based on a assessment Mr Hutchinson underwent into his professional performance by the General Medical Council (GMC) in June 2011.

A spokesman for the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service said: “It is alleged the standard of his professional performance was unacceptable in the area of ‘Working with Colleagues’, and a cause for concern in the areas of Other Good Clinical Care and Relationships with Patients.”
