Stafford festival up for national award

STAFFORD’S Q in the Park has been nominated for best small festival in the UK festival awards.

The annual showcase at Victoria Park supports local bands and music and donates profits to Friends of the Park, while entertaining the thousands of travellers waiting to be transported to the V Festival at Weston Park.

Festival Director Josh Roberts said the regular independent mini-festival couldn’t happen with the support of all the acts that play, the people that attend and local sponsorship and support from organisations like the Lewis Partnership, Sainsbury’s, Superdrug, Virgin Trains, Assorted Records and Staffordshire Police.

Votes can be cast at www.festivalawards.com/vote with all voters entered into a prize draw to win and iPad and a pair of tickets to all winning festivals.

The winners will be presented at a ceremony at the Roundhouse in London on Monday, December 3.
