LITTLE Josie Hall has become the youngest ever actor on the books at Seven Casting Agency in Stafford after producers of ITV soap Emmerdale issued an urgent appeal for newborns for their live episode, screened last week.

The dramatic hour-long broadcast, which marked the soap’s 40th anniversary, included two births, two weddings and a death.

Although Josie’s scenes, prerecorded in case of any last minute hitches, did not make it onto the nation’s TV screens her proud mum said it was an amazing experience to film at the Leeds set - and meet the stars she has previously watched onscreen at the family’s home in Marlborough Road, Stone.

Josie had been lined up to play the part of Gennie Walker’s daughter, born on the floor of a B&B after Gennie unexpectedly goes into labour.

Jessica, 34, said it had been an exciting three weeks for the family, including children Eva, eight, and George, six.
