CCTV revealed from Stafford station mugging

TWO men wanted in connection with a mugging at Stafford Station have been captured on CCTV.

The incident took place at about 3.10pm on Tuesday, November 27 on platform 5 and British Transport Police are calling on the public to help identify the men captured on camera.

Detective Constable Martyn Guest said a man had been punched to the floor and approximately £300 cash stolen from his jacket pocket.

DC Guest said: “Incidents of this nature are extremely rare on the rail network in the Staffordshire area.”

The first man is described as white, about 6ft 1in, heavy build, with dark eyebrows and was wearing light-coloured chino trousers and a blue t-shirt with the word penguin written in white letters on the front.

The second man was described as also white, about 5ft 6in and was wearing a beige or green-coloured body warmer with a grey hooded top beneath it, jeans, black trainers and a black beanie hat.

DC Guest asked anyone with any information to call British Transport Police on Freefone 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, quoting reference B9/WWA of December 4.
