A STAFFORD doctors' surgery has called in a parking management firm to ensure patients can find places to park.

Anyone who parks at Mill Bank Surgery who is not visiting the centre will face a financial penalty from the private firm which began monitoring the car park this month.
The surgery called in the company to cut down on motorists abusing its town centre car park and leaving patients struggling to find spaces.
Patients visiting the surgery for appointments are being asked to leave their vehicle registration details with reception staff so the parking management company know they are a bone fide parker, surgery manager Kate Tomkins said.
She added that patients will be given sufficient parking time to attend their appointments and collect prescriptions from the nearby pharmacy.
