Friday was Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Services' "Push The Button Day", in which they were raising awareness of smoke alarm maintenance across the county and encouraging weekly checks to ensure they are functioning correctly.
We caught up with Risk Reduction Officer Jess Patten at Stafford's Guidhall Shopping Centre to find out more.
Near the end of the day, shoppers were treated to a flash mob dance routine to the Sugababe's 'Push The Button'.
